As an international student, you can choose between two types of bank accounts:Polish currency bank account – in order to open one, it is required to have a passport, a letter from the School Office confirming your status and temporary residence card.
Foreign currency bank account – to open, it is required to have your passport, student’s visa, a customs declaration stamped by the Polish customs office at the port of entry confirming the amount of foreign currency you are bringing to Poland.
Though a wide range of banks operate in Poland, foreign students tend to choose City, BOŚ or ING Bank Śląski.
Further information about financial options will be provided during the orientation program. Credit Cards: VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Eurocard are accepted at hotels, tourist offices, major stores and banks in large Polish cities.
