Covid-19 – new safety rules

Dear Students,

Please read the new restrictions that the Government announced yesterday. Remember that there are high fees imposed on people who break these rules.
New safety rules – from 15th December:
• No flights to and from these countries: Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe
• Compulsory tests and quarantine upon arrival in Poland is extended to 14 days for people travelling from outside the Schengen zone/outside EU and outside of Turkey.
We advise you to check carefully each time before you plan to travel if students coming to Poland are obliged to go on quarantine or not. (The law regarding quarantine might change at a very short notice)
• Possibility of being released from the quarantine before 14 days only after getting a negative PCR test result but no sooner than after 8 days.
• Those who are vaccinated with vaccines authorised by the EU and possess a digital COVID passport or any document in Polish or English language which confirms that their last vaccination took place more than 14 days before they enter Poland, are not obliged to go on quarantine.
• Compulsory COVID19 tests for all co-residents (flatmates, housemates – people who share accommodation) who were in contact with a person who tested positive. Those having a European COVID certificate/passport also need to be tested.
• All public places where the limit was 50% are not to be filled with more than 30 % of people. These are: bars, restaurants and catering places, hotels, cinemas, theatres, places of culture, churches, concerts, swimming pools, aquaparks.
