Health Insurance (obligatory for each student)
If you are an EU citizen, make sure you get the European Insurance Card issued by your home country’s Public Health Institution. As regular blue cards guarantee medical aid only in emergency cases, students should consider applying in their countries for E-112 or E-109 cards in case of chronic diseases or planned procedures.
Please remember that Poland will be your resident country for the next couple years, think about more permanent insurance for ex. by NFZ. You have to be registered in a POZ clinic in Lodz.
If you come from a non-EU country, you either have to get Health Insurance with coverage on the territory of Poland in your home country or there is an option of getting Health Insurance in Poland in a private Insurance Company or NFZ. You have to be registered in a POZ clinic in Lodz.
If you are a Polish citizen, please ask your coordinator about the NFZ insurance. You have to be registered in a POZ clinic in Lodz.
Psychological support at MUL
Psychological Consultation Guideline
1)
The student registers for a psychological consultation electronically by sending an email to wecantalk@umed.lodz.pl .
2)
All correspondence sent by the student to the psychologist must be conducted via the university email address.
3)
Psychological consultations are conducted online via the MS Teams application.
4)
In justified cases, it is possible to attend a consultation in the psychologist’s office — the decision is made by the psychologist.
5)
Psychological consultations are confidential.
6)
Each consultation lasts 60 minutes.
7)
Psychological consultations are available exclusively to individuals with student status.
8)
Before the consultation begins, the student is required to present a valid student ID.
9)
A student may use the consultation service up to 3 times during the academic year.
10)
The student must log in to the consultation no later than 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
11)
For in-person consultations, the student is required to arrive at the designated place and time.
12)
Appointments can be canceled no later than 8 hours before the scheduled time by sending a message to wecantalk@umed.lodz.pl .
13)
Failure to comply with the rules outlined in these regulations may result in refusal to schedule further consultations.
