MS Teams entrance exam

The entrance exam is a 30-minute oral exam conducted online via MS Teams platform.

The candidate should present in the front of the camera the passport (page with the passport number and photo) to be identified by the Admission Committee. The passport should be the same as declared in the Application Form and sent with the application documents.

Technical requirements: to avoid any technical problems to conduct the entrance exam we advise testing the functionality of your computer including voice, video and chat (typing) before the day the exam is scheduled. Length of exam: approximately 30 minutes per applicant.

Please double check the internet connection before your exam and make sure that it is stable. Use a broadband internet access of not less than 10 Mbit/s (symmetrical).  It cannot be a GSM network.

Examination content:

For 5-year DMD Program

General questions (motivation, potential for professional behavior, socio-medical subjects)
Questions verifying knowledge of 2 out of 4 subjects listed below (descriptive type questions and multiple choice type questions with one correct answer):

  • Biology – 4 questions
  • Chemistry – 4 questions
  • Physics – 4 questions
  • Mathematics – 4 questions

Exam questions for all the above programs at the appropriate level will be based on the material from the following books:

Entrance exam rules

The entrance exam is a 30-minute oral exam conducted online via MS Teams platform.

General rules:

  • Make sure that you have received a link to the entrance exam from the Admission Office one working day before the entrance exam date.
  • Please double check the internet connection before your exam and make sure that it is stable. Use a broadband internet access of not less than 10 Mbit/s (symmetrical).  It cannot be a GSM network.
  • To avoid any technical problems to conduct the entrance exam, we advise testing the functionality of your computer including voice (microphone), video (camera) and chat (typing) before the day the entrance exam is scheduled.
  • Make sure you connect for the entrance exam on time. If you are late, you have the right to set an additional date, however you can have only two attempts to take the entrance exam during the admission process in a given year.
  • You must be alone in the room. Make sure that nobody will interrupt. If other people are present or interact with you, the entrance exam will be cancelled.
  • Your face should be visible during the entire entrance exam and must be well lit. You cannot wear a mask, dark glasses, hoods or hats during the entrance exam unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Your camera must not be positioned to the side, too low or too high to record only part of your face.
  • If your webcam is malfunctioning, damaged or impared, the camera is partially or fully covered or your image is obscure,  the entrance exam will be cancelled.
  • You are allowed to have a pen (or pencil) and a white sheet of paper ready in case you would want to make notes. At the beginning of the entrance exam you must show the paper sheet to the webcam.
  • You are allowed to use a calculator and a periodic table of elements. Anytime you want to use it, show it to the webcamera.
  • Keep electronic devices (smartphones, tablets etc.) and programs off.
  • The entire entrance exam / interview duration will be recorded for the quality control.
  • You should present the original passport (page with the passport number and photo) or other ID document in the front of the camera to be identified by the Admission Committee. The passport / other ID document should be the same as declared in the Application Form and sent with the application documents.
  • Speak clearly and answer questions thoroughly. You will not be asked additional questions or given instructions suggesting an incomplete answer.
  • You can have only two attempts to take the entrance exam during the admission process in a given year.
  • If you are caught cheating or soliciting the help of someone else, your application will be rejected.
  • If you fail the entrance exam, you cannot take it again during the same recruitment process.
  • If you do not agree with the exam result, you have the right to submit an application to the Head of the Admission Committee  asking for consent to re-sit the entrance exam / interview. The application should be sent by email to the Admission and Promotion Office of the Administrative Center for Studies in English: admission@umed.lodz.pl, within three days from the results announcement date. The application will be considered on the basis of the recording of your entrance examination / interview and the opinion of the examination committee. The final decision will be issued within ten working days from the date of submission of the application.
