MUL 2025 Wrapped: A Year of Achievements, Culture, and Global Outreach

2025 was an exceptional year at the Medical University of Łódź, filled with academic milestones, cultural celebrations, and international outreach. Here’s a look back at the highlights:

🎓 Academic Rankings & Excellence

  • Perspektywy 2025 Ranking: MUL ranked 1st among Polish medical universities
  • GRAS 2025 (Clinical Medicine): MUL placed 2nd among Polish medical universities and entered the global top 300.
  • CWUR 2025: MUL ranked 3rd among Polish medical universities and placed in the top 4.8% of universities and scientific institutions worldwide!

📚 Academic Ceremonies & Student Milestones

  • Graduation Ceremony – Class of 2025: 111 graduates (83 MDs, 28 DMDs) took the Hippocratic Oath.
  • Inauguration Ceremony: Welcomed 114 new medical and dental first-year students.
  • White Coat Ceremony: Marked the commencement of clinical education for 99 English-division students from 38 countries — featuring speeches and artistic performances.

🎭 Cultural & Community Events

  • Easter Meeting: English-division students observed Polish traditions and holidays together, including sessions on cultural etiquette and spring crafts.
  • Cultural Soirée: MUL community celebrated traditions, cuisine, dance, and music from countries like Romania, Kenya, Tunisia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Nigeria—alongside Polish dances and fortune-telling.
  • Christmas Gathering: Over 40 English-division, Erasmus+, and Fulbright students celebrated Polish holiday traditions—crafts, beeswax candle-making, and folklore stories—at the CiB building.

🏅 Awards & Recognitions

  • Rector’s Award 2025: Awarded to 6th-year medical student Hsin‑Lu Ho.

🌍 International Outreach & Fairs

  • Canada Tour: MUL’s delegation visited six Canadian universities and participated in Montreal’s largest student fair, engaging with over 5,000 prospective students.
  • MEDX Expo, Dubai, UAE: MUL exhibited at educational fairs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
  • IEFT Fairs in Turkey: MUL representatives participated in fairs meeting prospective students interested in studying Medicine & Dentistry in Poland from both Asian and European side of Istanbul.
  • Cyprus Education Fair: Delegation present in Nicosia at The Senior School, reaching out to future students from Cyprus.
