MUL email account
Dear Students,
Starting from this year, mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) will be implemented for all student Microsoft accounts in the stud.umed.lodz.pl domain.
This means that students will be required to log in using a password and additional identity confirmation, e.g., via a mobile app or SMS code.
Two-factor authentication significantly increases security, because even if a password is compromised, access to the account is still protected by the second login factor.
At this stage, the change only applies to second-year students, while subsequent years will be covered by this requirement at a later date, although they can already enable 2FA on their accounts themselves to better secure access to email, the Microsoft 365 platform, and other MUL services.
You can configure 2FA from anywhere, including from home, at a time of your choosing, and you can choose either the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone or SMS codes sent to a specified phone number as your login verification method.

How to change your password?
To change your Virtual University (the same password for Virtual University and email address) you need to do the following:
If the system informs you about an error
check if you entered the data correctly
if the data is correct and you still cannot log in, you need to change password (see below)
Enter your data in the new window to let the system identify your account. You will need the ”start password” you have been given/you can get on the printout from the Dean’s office.
After clicking on Find me (make sure your data is correct) you will see the page where you enter your new password for the Virtual University and email account.

If you do this correctly, you can log into both systems:
